From the A5 motorway take the exit “Heidelberger Kreuz”, and follow the A656 to Heidelberg. Turn left and then right at the end of the motorway on to the B37 and follow the road for approx. 5 km until you have left the city centre.
After a few hundred meters, you will see a sign to “HITS” on your right, which leads you up the hill. After crossing the railway tracks turn left and follow the streets “Am Rosenbusch” and “Hausackerweg”. At the end of “Hausackerweg” turn left and follow “Schloss-Wolfsbrunnenweg” for about 500 metres, past the Villa Bosch until you arrive at the entrance of HITS on the left. The carpark “Unter der Boschwiese” is located opposite Villa Bosch.
Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), approx. 90 km from Heidelberg, is the closest and most convenient airport for Heidelberg.
From the airport, take the Lufthansa Airport Shuttle Bus (leaving in front of terminal 1, section B) to the Crowne Plaza in Heidelberg and then take a taxi to the Studio Villa Bosch (approx. 15 minutes). Please note that the English website of the Airport Shuttle is currently under construction.
Alternatively, you can book a long distance bus at www.busradar.com.
Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station) is located about two kilometres from the city centre. The station is served by Intercity and Euro City trains as well as Intercity-Express trains, regional services and the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heidelberg_Hauptbahnhof).
From there you can either take public transport (see below) or a taxi to Studio Villa Bosch.
Long distance bus services from various cities to Heidelberg are also provided and can be booked via www.busradar.com or https://global.flixbus.com/ An intercity coach service is also provided, where different companies such as Flixbus and Deinbus connect Heidelberg with several national and international destinations.
You can reach HITS directly with bus number 30, the so called “Science Bus”, which runs hourly from Monday to Friday.
At Heidelberg main station take trains S2 (direction Eberbach), S1 (direction Osterburken) or S5 (direction Eppingen Bahnhof) to S-Bahnhof Altstadt. From there take bus number 30 (direction Schlierbach, HITS).
From the A5 motorway take the exit “Heidelberger Kreuz”, and follow the A656 to Heidelberg.
From the A6 (West):
Leave the A6 motorway at exit 27 “Mannheim”. Continue on the A656 to Heidelberg.
Get into the left lane at the first traffic lights in Heidelberg, and turn left to follow the B37 towards Neuenheim/Universitaetsklinikum.
Follow Vangerowstraße, pass underneath the Neckar bridge (Ernst-Walz-Brücke), and change to the right lane immediately after the bridge to follow Berliner Strasse. After 700 meters, you will see the Mathematikon on the left. Turn left into “Im Neuenheimer Feld” and take the first street on the right. After 150m, turn right into the underground car park. Parking spaces for guests are located in the 1st basement floor.
You will find us in the middle building of the Mathematikon, Berliner Straße 45. Our offices are located on the 4th floor.
Travel to the Heidelberg central railway station (Hauptbahnhof). Leave the station by the northern exit, “Kurfürstenanlage”. The bus and tram stop is directly opposite. Take tram number 21 or 24 (direction Hans-Thoma-Platz / Handschuhsheim North / Schriesheim) to the Mathematikon. Get out at the fourth stop “Technologiepark”.
You will find us in the middle building of the Mathematikon, Berliner Straße 45. Our offices are located on the 4th floor.
