NCT-Run 2021: Team “The HITSters” runs beyond the limits

The HITS running team “The HITSters” participated for the fourth time in the NCT charity run in Heidelberg.

On 2-4 July 2021, a 29-strong HITS running team again participated in the annual NCT Run, which attracted more than 7000 runners worldwide for its 10^th anniversary. Same as last year, the run was organized as a virtual three-day-event. The motto: “Alone. Together! 10 Years of NCT-RUNning against cancer”. Team “The HITSters” completed almost 800 km in four different countries (Germany, France, Slovakia, and Switzerland), thus contributing their fair share to the total of 125,00 km. The combined efforts resulted in 50,000€ of donation for cancer research at the NCT in Heidelberg. The NCT-Run is an established charity run organized by the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) in Heidelberg to gather donations for cancer research. To properly reward our HITSters for their efforts, we decided to show the world what fantastic people our HITS runners are. We therefore launched a mini photo-contest and asked all runners to send us a picture of them in their HITS running shirt – while striking a superhero pose or any other pose that make them feel epic! The best pictures were then professionally edited by photographer and fantasy artis Natalia Le Fay (https://www.natalialefay.com/) to emphasize their superhero qualities.
